THANK YOU:
A BIG THANK YOU! to all that attended Ultreya last night as we expressed thanks to Brenda, Pat, Bill, and Jim for their dedication and service to the Cursillo Movement of the Diocese of Memphis. The movement presented these great friends with a Palm Cross inscribed on the back with, "Christ is Counting On you, [name]." Thank you Brenda, Pat, Bill, and Jim for your service on the Secretariat and your commitment to Christ in your 4th Day! You are all an inspiration to us and we are better having known you. May your 4th Day continue to be blessed!

Also, thank you to Shelley Allen for the beautiful cake, to Gene Mangiante for working with St. Paul's Book and Gifts to obtain the Palm Crosses and for being such a dedicated photographer, to Mike Gross for great music, and to Brenda's wonderful group for sponsoring the Ultreya.

2012 CALENDAR
The 2012 Cursillo Calendar of Events is now available. This simple calendar list of events is a new resource available to you. All planned events for 2012 are listed. As new events are planned we will update the calendar and advise you via Cursillo Update and the website. The calender can be viewed and downloaded in .pdf format from the website at http://memphiscursillo.com/calendar-2/. There is also a link in the sidebar of this email. Please check it out!

OPEN POSITION:
PALANCA COORDINATOR:

The Cursillo Movement is in need of a Palanca Coordinator. The Palanca Coordinator is responsible for:

– Collecting and publishing Palanca from the local movement to other Cursillos throughout the world

– Soliciting Palanca from other Cursillos throughout the world for our 3 Day Weekends.
– Being a champion for Palanca in the Memphis Cursillo Movement by promoting the practice of Palanca for our movement, weekends, and the Cursillo Method.

The ideal Palanca Coordinator makes the Cursillo their Apostolate participating as a Leader in the Cursillo Method of Group Reunion and Ultreya, and attending School of Leaders, Clausura's, and other Cursillo functions. If you are a candidate, or would like to nominate a candidate for this role please email Lay Director Bob Nicholas at laydirector@memphiscursillo.com.

3 DAY WEEKEND
Men's weekend Feb 9-12th
– Clausura on Sunday, Feb 12th.
Women's weekend Mar 1-4th
– Clausura on Sunday, Mar 4th.

Please arrive at Our Lady Queen of Peace Retreat Center by 4:30 PM to join us at Clausura.
